Deplorable Things Fifteen Years After the September 11 Attacks

Image
People have remembered significant national and global events many years after they happened. I've heard and read where people remember the day John F. Kennedy was assassinated, the 1941 attacks on Pearl Harbor, and other things many years later. Memorial of September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, image credit: Pixabay / brandnewday I was working in the back of the Big Chain Company Store (now semi-defunct) with the shipping and receiving manager, getting merchandise ready for shipping. (I had lived in New York for just over a year.) One guy came back there and began telling us about the plane crashes, and I didn't believe him because he often told jokes that were in poor taste. After he convinced the manager and me, I went to the computer and saw that he was right. When the Internet went down, I became even more alarmed. What's going on? Millions of people were wondering this, but we knew that America was being attacked. The rest of the day was a daze for me. I liste...

Taqiyya, Mohammedans, and Facebook "Standards"

Image
Not everyone knows this, but Mohammedans are permitted to lie to unbelievers to gain our trust and then defeat us. It's called " Taqiyya ". I reckon that this falls under the heading of "the end justifies the means". One instance of this on Facebook was done by a Page called "Western Terrorism Watch". The name implies that they are one of several Pages that report Islamic terrorism. Instead, they are loaded with hatred for the Israel, the United States, Canada and the Western world in general. They came to my attention when they reacted to the article, " Evolutionary Thinking and ISIS Atrocities " when it was posted on The Question Evolution Project : Posted under "Fair Use" terms for educational purposes. Besides, it was in my  e-mail. Ironic to be called hypocritical by hypocrites. Their Page has only nine "Likes" at this writing, but their hate-speech posts and remarks are deplorable, and loaded with straw m...

More Steps Toward a Police State

Edited 9-28-2012 Hatetheists will naturally laugh at the title and this article (even to the point of disagreeing with me for its own sake). Some people are too young, uninformed and/or looking for excuses to hate to be aware of what has happened in the not-too-distant past. Totalitarianism is not normally something that happens quickly. The erosion of liberties takes place gradually, and when tyrants rule, cowed people wonder what happened. One advantage of having free speech is the ability to sound the alarm. While we still can. The nonsense of politically correct speech is increasing. It is an excuse to stifle free speech. I was watching some comedy shows on some of those increasingly popular rerun channels. There were jokes in them that were innocuous for their time, and would be harmless today. But they could not be done on modern TV shows because professional racists like Al Unsharpton would be organizing protests in front of the network's headquarters. People live i...

Atheists Attack 9/11 Cross

September 11, 2001 propelled vitriolic militant atheism into high gear. Anti-God books became best sellers and the so-called "new" atheism became profitable. People who already hated God pretended that he was not there (even though they know he exists, Romans 1.20-22) and used it as an excuse to attack "religion". In addition, this kind of atheism lead to the destruction of the faith of others who were not grounded in the Word, not knowing what or why they believed — an indictment on lethargic Christians who were not doing their jobs in proclaiming and presenting Christ (2 Peter 3.18, 1 Peter 3.15, 2 Cor. 10.5, Jude 1.3). Angry atheopaths seem unconcerned that they are the least-trusted group . Even though this version of atheism is on the slide (and accelerating) , their protesting and interfering in the free expression of religion for other people continue to become a stench. Case in point: Misotheists are protesting the "Ground Zero Cross" ....

Mock a Holy Book and See What Happens

Image
Despite their claims to "lack belief" in God, skeptics (that is, hate-filled mockers) will troll and attack anything Christian because they know what the Bible teaches about how Christians are supposed to respond to our enemies. These blatant hypocrites do not dare to give Mohammedans the same treatment, probably out of fear for their lives. Mock Mohammed, burn a Koran , and people die. And yet, Western governments keep on coddling the "religion of peace" instead of taking action and telling them to act like the civilized people that they pretend to be. But I'm digressing a bit. Contrast the fear of violence from Islam for almost any slight, large or small, real or imagined, with Christianity. Although dishonest misotheists portray us as unkind when we stand up to their bullying, there is no reasonable assumption that their lives are in danger from us. So, they mock. A play called " The Bible — The Complete Word of God (Abridged) " is a flat-out ...

Do Sunni Rebels Have ANY Compunction?

Image
In World War 2, one strategy was to beat your enemy into submission by bombing population centers into nonexistence. Military targets were the priority, but the people were not entirely off-limits. Fast forward >> to the Gulf Wars and into today. Surgical strikes against military targets, with great effort to minimize civilian casualties (if we can tell the difference between civilians and cowardly, non-uniformed terrorists combatants, that is). Some missions have been aborted because of the risk to civilians. This principle appears to apply to Israeli forces as well . However, cowardly terrorist combatants not only refuse to wear uniforms, they even use human shields . This cowardice extends to the deliberate personal murders of entire families, and hanging children after the rest of the family has been murdered. (Many words come to mind, but I am attempting to restrain profanity and will settle for "low-life, cowardly, murdering scumbag weasel losers".) Religion of ...

"Religion of Peace" Rape Epidemic

It is baffling the way that crimes by Mohammedans are tolerated, excused and downright ignored. Rape is finally being acknowledged. It is not just a few isolated incidents by some rowdy individuals in far-away places. No, it is becoming more widespread — and done in groups. It should not be surprising if you consider how their religion, which is their entire way of life, is demonically inspired . For years there have been reports on blogs, personal testimonials and the like, about what looked like a literal epidemic of rape by Muslim men of both women and children, especially in northern European nations where the Muslim immigrant population is high. But the disturbing reports rarely rose to the level that would make the general population aware of the dangers that were becoming evident. After all, such a report would be blasted for attacking Islam and discriminating against Muslims. Until now, when a case from the United Kingdom has proven so egregious it could not be ignored. T...

Religion of Peace: Remain or Die

Mohammedans boast that their religion is the fastest-growing religion in the world. (I have serious doubts about the veracity of that statement.) Their official policy is to convert by force. If you leave Islam, you are risking the death penalty. I think it was Ravi Zacharias who said that if Islam took its foot off the necks of the people, then we would really see how fast it grows, and how long people remained without converting. Many people through history, and even today, believe the truth of the gospel of Christ is worth dying for. Since Mr. Obama’s entry into office, Christians have been slaughtered throughout the Bloody Crescent with hardly a peep from the U.S. State Department or the White House. Nigerian human rights activist Emmanuel Ogebe recently reported that more Christians have been killed by Islamist Boko Haram than NATO troops have been killed in Afghanistan. Hundreds of thousands of Christians have fled Iraq. They’ve fled into Syria, of all places. Operatio...

Dearborn, Muslims and Human Rights

From "Answering Musims": The prominent human rights organization American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), its Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) program and the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST) will be hosting the first-ever human rights conference dedicated to exposing the plight of women under Islamic law in Dearborn, Michigan on the anniversary of the honor murder of Jessica Mokdad: the Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference. The Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Dearborn. After bowing to Islamic supremacist pressure and canceling a speech by Pamela Geller that had been scheduled for a Hyatt in Nashville, Tennessee, the Hyatt reversed its stance, recovered its understanding of the American principle of free speech, apologized and offered AFDI space in a Hyatt for a future Conference to make it up the human rights organization. Geller chose the Hyatt in Dearborn to stand in solidarity there with girls who ar...

Militant Muslims Kill Christians in Nigeria

Thanks to Answering Muslims , who mentioned this story earlier.  More of the "religion of peace" in action. A militant group seeking to enforce Sharia, or Islamic law, throughout Nigeria, has shot and killed two children of an ex-terrorist and "murderer" because he converted to Christianity, well-informed missionaries told BosNewsLife Wednesday, November 23. Boko Haram, meaning “Western education is a sin”, carried out the killings this month after discovering that a former fellow fighter refused to kill a Christian and instead accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, explained Rae Burnett, Africa Director of the U.S. based Christian Aid Mission (CAM) group. Burnett told BosNewsLife that the father and Boko Haram militant "was poised to slit the throat of his Christian victim" during November attacks in northern Nigeria that killed at least over 130 Christians, including missionaries, when "he was suddenly struck with the weight of...

Somebody Killed Mohammed

A video at the "Answering Muslims" Weblog, plus references from the Koran, the Hadith, Mohammedan commentaries, the Sira and links. Through the centuries, thousands of people have claimed to be prophets. Only one, however, rested his claims on the fact that his aorta hadn't been cut. Ironically, as this man lay dying, he confessed that he could feel his aorta being severed. Click here for the video, references and comments .

Homosexuality, Christians and Sharia

Buona sera. Bible-believing Christians (as opposed to "liberal" make-your-own-god theology that gives a vague nod to Jesus, but backs away from actual Bible teaching if it goes against their opinions, Exodus 20.3) know that homosexuality goes against God's grain (1 Cor. 6.9, Rom. 1.26-28). Sorry, but that's what God says, I don't make the rules. Homosexuality is becoming more acceptable, probably because it is becoming more and more politically correct, despite the fact that most Americans believe that marriage is between a man and a woman . Yet, the Gaystapo is gaining momentum and is becoming increasingly aggressive (I pointed out some examples here and also here, where a man cannot even voice his personal opinion on the subject ). Because we believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that homosexuality is a sinful act, not a natural condition, we are called "homophobes" (a nonsense word) and "haters". No, we don't ...

Mosque, Meet My Pig Farm!

Image
Here's a good one. Muslims buy some land and want to build a mosque ( a symbol of Islamic victory ). A guy has owned land there for some time. He is a pig farmer. They have the audacity to ask him to move. Nothing doing. So, he gets creative:

Brave Muslim Heroes Burn American Flag

Image
Those brave heroes, burning an American flag on September 11, 2011! Oh, such inspirations! Never mind that they didn't even do it in the United States. 'Smatter, Hassan, too much security? Or were you gutless wonders afraid that the people would shove your allahu where the sun doesn't shine? Boy, someone burns a Koran and you think it gives you license to "jihad" and murder people, but you burn an American flag on the tenth anniversary of the date that your shameless, cowardly compatriots murdered three thousand Americans, and yet, you are still living! Shows a bit of a difference, huh?

Terrorists Do Not Seem to Fear B. Hussein Obama

Last year Obama made a statement during a 9/11 event in which he said “as Americans we are not — and never will be — at war with Islam.” Maybe the president needs to remind Islam about this because they certainly don’t seem to know. Since taking office, the U.S. has either been attacked or threatened by attacks by Islamists at least 11+ times.  These aren’t random terrorist affronts by other countries, or Jared Loughner-type kooks (as the mainstream media would like you to believe)—they are ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.  Here’s a list of Islamic terrorist attacks and/or threats of attacks that have occurred on U.S. soil and U.S. military bases since Obama took office in January, 2009. Oh and just a reminder—although 9/11 happened 8 months after President Bush took office, during his 8-year presidency we never had any other Islamic terrorist attack in the U.S.  They knew better. Read the rest of "Islamic Attacks and Threats During Obama’s Presidency" here .

Religious Pluralism — Rubbish!

Image
On a weekend when the world remembers the 9/11 that made that date infamous, many questions remain unanswered. My concern is that there are answers that remain unquestioned. Coexist. This sounds so terribly profound and noble. Even the graphic is inspiring. In one word we have Rodney King’s plea from a decade earlier – “Can’t we all just get along?” Well, I suppose that depends what you mean. Can we accept one another as humans with inherent value? – I would hope so. Can we tolerate viewpoints and lifestyles different from our own? – We should. Can we live out our own beliefs without injuring or belittling others in the name of our beliefs? – Most of us do, except for the occasional misguided zealot. Can we accept that we are all climbing the same mountain, even though we may be choosing separate paths? – No. This is where we must part company. The term for this sentiment is religious pluralism. It means ‘ acceptance of all religious paths as equally valid, promoting coexiste...

Guilt by Association

Christianity seems to be frightening more people these days. The most recent flurry of alarm has been over "dominionism," as represented in a New Yorker article by Ryan Lizza. It has been more than thoroughly debunked, but still it seems to represent something more than politics. People are afraid of Christianity. In fact for multiple reasons, many people are saying Christianity is bad, evil, harmful. This post is the first in a series examining reasons for Christianity's bad reputation. In memory of 9/11, I begin with "Guilt by Association." It goes like this. Islam is a religion. Some Muslims attacked us on 9/11 in the name of their God and their religion. Therefore religion is bad. Christianity is a religion. Therefore Christianity is bad. The logic is laughable. Compare this, which is in near-identical form: Rodents are four-legged animals. Mice are rodents and can make a mess in your attic. Therefore rodents are bad. Dogs are four-legged animals. Therefore...

Is Religion Evil?

No introduction, here's the text: Attitude Adjustment How did 9/11 change America’s attitude toward religion? A   recent post   on CNN’s Belief Blog says: “Before 9/11, many atheists kept a low profile. Something changed, though, after 9/11. They got loud… Criticism of all religion, not just fanatical cults, was no longer taboo after 9/11.” Indeed. Around the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, American Atheists hit the nightly news by suing to remove a steel cross from the September 11 memorial, even as others were calling it a national monument and a symbol of hope. Still, many atheists say 9/11 is a perfect example of why religion itself is evil. Is Religion Evil? Reminds me of reading Sam Harris’   The End of Faith   years ago. I remember when he started to get popular by insisting that religion itself is dangerous and evil. Although he’s got a lot of fans, a   Religion Dispatches   article recently called him “more charismatic than credentialled...

Some Of Us Did Not Forget

Image
Kingston, New York, had been my home for about seventeen months. I was working in the warehouse with my foreman, getting the day's rounds planned. Another guy came over to us and asked if we knew what was happening. No, we did not have a radio on. He proceeded to tell us that planes had hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I was waiting for a punch line, because this guy told tacky jokes. When he told us that it was no joke, I ran to the nearest computer and got online. I saw images of the smoking World Trade Center. Two things chilled me. First, the attack on the Pentagon made me realize that this was more ambitious than other attacks, and that the enemy was arrogant and stupid enough to take on the power of the United States military. The other thing that chilled me was when the Internet went down. At the time, I thought it was more than just overload and signal problems, but communications were not destroyed after all. I did not grasp the physical enormity of the Worl...

Canadian PM Says Islamicism 'Biggest Threat'

In an exclusive interview with CBC News, Prime Minister Stephen Harper says the biggest security threat to Canada a decade after 9/11 is Islamic terrorism. In a wide-ranging interview with CBC chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge that will air in its entirety on The National Thursday night, Harper says Canada is safer than it was on Sept. 11, 2001, when al-Qaeda attacked the U.S., but that "the major threat is still Islamicism." "There are other threats out there, but that is the one that I can tell you occupies the security apparatus most regularly in terms of actual terrorist threats," Harper said. Harper cautioned that terrorist threats can "come out of the blue" from a different source, such as the recent Norway attacks, where a lone gunman who hated Muslims killed 77 people. But Harper said terrorism by Islamic radicals is still the top threat, though a "diffuse" one. For the rest of "Harper says 'Islamicism...
