Climate Change Activists Reject Reason

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen While the majority of climate change activists have little or no knowledge of science and "think" with their emotions, there are scientists involved. Apparently some of them are feeling lower than a snake's belly in a wagon wheel rut. They have some blamestorming to do, but they're looking in the wrong direction. As I pointed out in " Climate Change and Ignored Truth " , secularists have a passel of presuppositions, including materialism, an old earth, evolutionism, and if there is a God, he is not in control. They appeal to emotions, not facts or logic , and trot out pawns like Greta "How Dare You!" Thunberg to throw kerosene on the fire. (Some of us don't take none too kindly to manipulation, you savvy?) We see that their predictions over the years have all failed , and some are so far away that those who made the alarmist claims will all be taking dirt naps before they can be criticized. When people get all he...

Protestants, Atheists, and Science

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen There is a picture of a young guy with a beginner's mustache, glasses, and he has one eyebrow raised. His shirt is printed, "I'm an atheist debate me". The caption reads, "Atheism A Religion People Join to Appear Smarter". Although it has been given many captions, I like this older one the most. You can see it here if you like, the one I'm talking about should be at the top. Anti-creationists get rambunctious with it, but I believe the original picture is a parody of atheists' attitudes. Bellvue Baptist Church photo credit: Freeimages / Ricky Gipson The majority of American atheists are younger males and white. The caption about "appear smarter" is especially fitting, as many atheopaths are trolling the web, trying to impress others with their genius. They get upset when we point out their poor logic, and frequently display their ignorance, such as in a 3-on-3 debate that I wrote about . Professing atheists t...

Running the Big Story Too Soon

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen The news media tend to get pieces of information, jump the fence, and gallop for the open prairie. Or to their editors so they can get a story published. They know that people go wild with partial information and rumors, so the media keep doing it. Especially the liberal media. Credit: Unsplash / rawpixel "Trump may cancel the 2020 elections!" Oh, shut up. Some of us are intelligent enough to know that's not possible. You're an insult to humanity, Skippy. It's nice when some restraint is used and we're informed that a story is developing, or "preliminary reports indicate..." and so on. People like to get all het up, don't they? Especially leftists, who have protests, smash windows, overturn cars, set dumpster on fire, and that sort of thing. Even when they have no idea what it's about. Here's a short video I made from audio of The Chris Plante Show , excerpting the July 24, 2018 episode . A cra...

Secularists Protect Evolution from Thought

Image
Evolutionists are on the prod again . A bill was proposed in South Dakota that required...what? What was in it that would cause such distress? Maybe if the bill required the teaching of Intelligent Design, or even biblical creation science, and exclude evolution. That'll be the day! Actually, the "problem" with the bill is that it promotes critical thinking instead of blind acceptance of evolution, so flaws in evolutionary speculations should be made known. Generated at Glass Giant The secular science industry has been getting more political nowadays, with a distinct leftist bias . But Machiavellian approaches to evolutionary education have been happening for some time now — it's acceptable to deceive students for the sake of believing evolution. Critical thinking is unacceptable (as is free speech when contrary to leftist causes, atheism, and evolutionary thinking). Unfortunately, true science thrives on critical thinking and challenges, and free speech is a...

Nobel Pieces Prizes

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Alfred Nobel, inventor of dynamite, put in his will that a portion of his estate money be set aside and awarded for five recipients each year who have "benefited mankind". The five prizes are literature, physiology or medicine, chemistry, and peace. (A sixth prize for economics was established in 1968 .) Although most of this activity is in Sweden, for some reason, Alfie wanted the peace prize committee to be in Norway. Derivative from Nobel Prize image , public domain in the United States The prize for peace has come under criticism because it shows a leftist bias, including the award to B. Hussein Obama, who had done nothing to earn the prize except show up for work at the American presidency. (Years later, there is regret over giving Obama the undeserved award .) In 2016, Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos was given the peace prize. From the October 12, 2016 edition of The Briefing by Dr. Albert Mohler : . . .and the controversy this ...

Atheism, Secularism and Lack of Logic

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen One of the main problems that atheists have is prejudicial conjecture. That is, they get all het up, thinking they know about something and spouting off their uninformed opinions while also trying to influence the views of others. When it comes to the Bible, many atheists not only resort to prejudicial conjecture, but many other logical fallacies including the straw man. Sorry, Cupcake, but we don't have to defend something we don't hold to or didn't say. This includes quote-mined material from the Bible.  Made at Atom Smasher Numerous fallacies can be rounded up in regards to creation science. They will misrepresent creationists, call us liars (their "proof" is essentially based on "because I said so repeatedly", but actually makes them the liars because of no real evidence), appeal to motive, poisoning the well, unfounded accusations, loaded terminology and a whole lot more. With just a little learning about informal ...

Dan Barker's Fundamentally Flawed Rationale

Image
Dan Barker of the Freedom from Religion Foundation seems like a heckuva nice guy. Unlike so many of the obstreperous atheists on the Web, he is intelligent, respectful and polite. But I am only basing this on a couple of interviews on Christian radio shows that I heard. Still, he does not have a reputation for being nasty. The first one I heard was with Matt Slick of CARM . An attempt to schedule a debate had fallen through, so Dan was a guest in the studio with Matt. There was no specific agenda or topic. To listen to that, click here , but do not click on the "listen now" button. Instead, use the link "Carm_Podcast_2-7" to get the MP3 . Also, Matt had a show where he discussed a debate he had with Barker a few years earlier, that show is here . When hearing this show, I had feelings similar to those that Matt expressed, how so much was touched upon and a week of one-hour shows could stem from it. Barker had numerous instances of bad reasoning, word games, ...

Christmas Video: Brad Stine

Image
Happy holidays! Yeah, right. Stores wouldn't be having "Black Friday", people wouldn't be getting festive, decorations would not be put up, no special music if it wasn't for Christmas! The secularists and atheopaths want to take it away from us under the pretense of "someone might be offended". Get real. Drop the politically correct nonsense. Here's an idea, if you want to be consistent: Never call another holiday by name again. Always say, "Happy holidays", whether people are celebrating Arbor Day, Martin Luther King Day, Independence Day, the Queen's Birthday, Foot Fungus Day or whatever you have. "Boss, are you being sarcastic?" Oh, Tommy the Knocker joins in! Say hi to Tommy, class! Heh, you should know better than anyone about my sarcasm, Tommy. Here, let's watch the comedy video that makes some great points :

Freedom-Fighting Secularists In Action!

Be inspired! We can't have any of that nasty old Bible stuff displayed in a business. And we certainly  cannot allow people to show respect when someone prays, no siree! Here are a couple of stories about brave heroes making certain that "religion" is kept in its place. (Why it's the Christian "religion" that is kept in its place but Islam runs rampant...I dunno.) The first in Lancashire, UK: Police have threatened a Christian cafe owner with arrest –for displaying passages from the Bible on a TV screen. Jamie Murray was warned by two police officers to stop playing DVDs of the New Testament in his cafe following a complaint from a customer that it was inciting hatred against homosexuals.  Mr Murray, 31, was left shocked after he was questioned for nearly an hour by the officers, who arrived unannounced at the premises. Let's applaud the secularists for interfering with someone daring to stand up for his beliefs! Read the rest of " Police Tell Caf...
